Early Life
Aubrey Drake Graham
was born on October 24, 1986. Drake grew up with
music in his blood. His father, Dennis Graham, was a drummer for legendary rock
star Jerry Lee Lewis, and Drake says that his mother, Sandi Graham, also hails
from a "very musical" family.
Degrassi' Star
In 2001, Drake
landed a role on the
Canadian teen drama series Degrassi:The Next Generation. Drake starred on Degrassi for seven years (2001-09), earning a 2002 Young Artist Award for best ensemble in a TV series, among other honors.

Hip-Hop Fame
While still staring on Degrassi, Drake began attempting his
transition into the world of hip-hop. He released his first mix tape, Room
for Improvement, in 2006.It achieved sales around approximately 6,000
copies. He followed that with the 2007 release of another mix tape, Comeback
Season. Comeback Season included Drake's first hit single and music
video, "Replacement Girl," which was featured as the New Joint of the
Day on BET's popular hip-hop television show 106 & Park. Ever since
then, Drake has continued to release new music to share with the world and
especially his fans. Day by day Drake grows and improves as a music artist.
Currently
Now, in the year 2014, Drake has progressed over the years into
becoming a very famous music artist. He is currently working on a new album,
Views of the Six. It is expected to release sometime next year in 2015. Drake
still has much more to share with the world. I believe that his music journey
is just now beginning and one day, he will become a legend.
